Drone Pilot Questions

HAVE QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS!

To legally conduct any commercial drone work, operators must have a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) license. This applies to using drone-captured images for advertising, sales, or any activity that directly or indirectly generates revenue. If a drone pilot offers paid services without holding a Part 107 License, they are operating illegally. Both the operator and client could face significant fines from the FAA for non-compliance with these regulations.

We cover the entire United States for large-scale projects and the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic region for everything in-between.

Yes! The Drone Life is covered by Aviation General Liability insurance up to $2 million. Our pilots are fully trained and licensed under the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which is mandatory for commercial drone operations.

We’re happy to provide proof of insurance and licenses upon request, and can accommodate any specific insurance requirements you may have.

The Drone Life’s pilots require a minimum lead time of 5-7 business days before deployment. Unsuitable weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, and the submission of flight authorizations may increase this time window. In the event your project is time sensitive, we’ll gladly work around your schedule to plan a flight ASAP.
The majority of projects will be completed and returned within 7 business days. However, this number can vary depending on the type of deliverable being produced.
